Couch to 5K – Start Your Trail Running Journey This January

Ready to start running — or to fall in love with it again?
Join our 8-week Couch to 5K course, designed especially for beginners and returners who want to build confidence, fitness and joy through trail running.

Why Trail Running?

Trail running is running with freedom — swapping pavements for parks, roads for woods, and stress for calm. It’s easier on the joints, better for the mind, and endlessly more inspiring than the same city routes. You don’t have to be fast, fit, or fearless — just curious enough to start.

This isn’t just another beginner running plan.
Our Couch to 5K has been designed to:

  • Build gradually – gentle progression combining running and walking to keep it achievable and enjoyable.

  • Focus on form and confidence – learn good habits early with qualified coaches who support every step.

  • Discover local trails – enjoy the stunning green spaces of Dulwich and Peckham, right on your doorstep.

  • Run with community – meet friendly faces, share the journey, and stay motivated together.

  • Boost body and mind – gain strength, energy, and mental clarity from running in nature.

What to Expect

Each week we’ll meet for a guided, structured session where we’ll:

  • Warm up and work on technique

  • Run or walk/run intervals designed to build endurance

  • Cool down, stretch, and reflect as a group
    You’ll also receive optional between-session tips and support to keep you moving at your own pace.

 
By the End of 8 Weeks

 

You’ll be confidently running 5K on trail, part of a supportive local running community, and ready for your next adventure — whether that’s continuing with our weekly sessions or stepping up to our Improvers 5–10K programme.

  • Meeting day: Every Monday from the 5th January 2026 at 18:30 for 8 weeks.

  • Price: £100 per person or £80 per person if you book before the 1st December 2025!
